Medical Assistant
OverviewNJ Neurological Specialists, part of Atlantic Medical Group, with offices in Summit and West Orange, has a challenging opportunity for an experienced CMA.Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Selected candidate will perform clinical functions.( i.e. vitals, patient intake, referrals, medication and radiology authorizations) and assume administrative responsibilities, including phone management, scheduling registration and other essential duties typical of a physician practice.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
Certifications:
Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT or NHA required.

Experience:
Post externship experience in a physician practice is required.
Computer proficiency is essential.
Valid NJ Drivers License a must as travel between sites may occur.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
